There is a lot of news today about the soon to come attack on Iran. I believe Israel and the United States (with UK and France?) will attack Iran’s nuclear facilities within the next 2 months.

I would like to know what kind of country we live in where our so called President does not worry about the issues we are facing in this country. It’s not bad enough thousands have lost their homes, gas is at an all time high, teachers are losing their jobs, everyday thousands are layed off,the coutry’s deficit will take years to fix…yet here we go again with the same story we heard 6 years ago, let’s just throw millions (or billions )into another war. What will a war with Iran accomplish ,except for more dead American soldiers(in most cases kids). When will someone either in government or even the American people step up and say “Enough”.In other countries people protest when they are not heard, here it seems like we take whatever they throw at us and we say”OK”.Whatever happened to the United States of America I lived in “pre Bush”.

Please stop this. Our country is already in need of so much help. How can we continue to keep making these decisions when we have so many decisions to make for ourselves.

Of course our president worries about domestic issues. But he also worries about the safety of this country and the rest of the world. The destruction of Iran’s nuclear facilities will accomplish many things. There are more protests in this country then any other country… that’s the beauty of living in a free world.

One thing we may have to think about if there is an attach on Iran and that how Russia will react to it.

One scenario that keeps going thru my head is the following: Israel and the U.S. attack Iran’s nuclear sites. Iran responds with attacks against Israel and U.S. troops in Iran. Israel UNLOADS against Iran with missiles, air power etc. Now, once all this happens I think Russia will come to Iran’s defense thus causing a bigger problem for the U.S. and Israel. Russia’s nuclear arsenal is still a major threat.
This may seem far fetched but it is something we have to keep in mind.

    Hi Michael.

    In response to your post:

Iran responds with attacks against Israel and U.S. troops in Iran.

I don’t think there will be US and Israeli troops on Iranian soil. All is needed are surgical air strikes on Iran’s nuclear and military facilities. Remember, Israel went at it alone with its surgical strike in Iraq and Syria.

Once all this happens I think Russia will come to Iran’s defense thus causing a bigger problem for the U.S. and Israel. Russia’s nuclear arsenal is still a major threat.

Why would Russia come to Iran’s defense? Although Russia loves to stir trouble for the US at the UN, Russia knows how dangerous Islmaic extremist governments can be. Take Chechnya as an example. Also, although Russia has an extensive array of weaponry, their military is ill financed and has a rusting cold-war era infrastructure. Russia will *never* press the “red button” - they know they would be obliterated by US nuclear tipped submarines.

What? Iran, like most of the oil producing nations has simply decided to maximize their profits from their remaining oil reserves by exporting as much of it as possible. This naturally involves finding another source for domestic energy, ie Nuclear. This is the same reason why Dubai is seeking to become the new Las Vegas(or whatever). The phenomenon is called peak oil. Oh, and the thing about ‘the bomb’ is called AIPAIC and that’s not good for America’s security but has long been a necessary but dangerous when left unchecked part of our foreign policy perspective. Iran is a young demographic nation (most people are >35) to say that they hate the US is BS. They love us and our stupid iPods but if we bomb them they will fight to the death like any self respecting human. Wake UP!

The Insanity in Iran, evil men with beards and turbans, misguided religions and pure hatred of the US and the West, such evil in the world. Iran is on a collision course, has been and will be gone as a viable country in the future unless a complete turnaround is accomplished by their leaders. Don’t stay up waiting for it, their hatred won’t let them. State sponsored terrorism, radical Islam, religion by the sword is the number one threat the freedom loving peoples of the world have today. Sad…

Russia is not going to destroy itself and civilization by leaping to the defense of a radical Islamic regime. It will only criticize from the sidelines, its main activity for the past decade.

where are we going to get the money from to fund another war? We are in trillions of dollars in debt…we already borrow millions from china and the suadis…wait I know what were gonna do will have the fed print more monopoly money and have this whole econmy crash…and totally destroy our currency. then prices will go up (why do you think everything is so expensive now)…more jobs will be lost…and all the middle class and the poor will be hurtin for a loonnng time. I just dont understand how people can be so dumb…and the media loves gettin everyone fired up about iran having nukes…and iraq having these so called “wepons of mass destruction” come on peopele…iraq had no wepons and they had nothing to do with 9/11..were no threat for our national security..but its all about that oil and the big bussness of this country trying to shape the middle east and make that money. when are we going to stop being the police of the world? do we not have our own issues at home? I just laugh at the idea that they are actually thinkin about going into iran??…it seems like bush has a couple evil doings still up his sleeve befor he is out of office. Moree dead americans, more of our traditional values, freedoms, and liberties taken away…for more control…and money in thier pockets…WAKE UP AMERICA.

People here are commenting on things they have been fed with by CNN, BBC and their likes. Damn you people wake up and smell the bloody coffee! The problem we have here is that some moron who has flown private Learjets and Cessnas all their lives are calling the bloody shots. The closest George W Bush has ever been to war is behind white house walls when he is constantly shagged by our military commanders for not talking their advice and screwing up at the end. How many of you fools who like to “bomb Iran” have served in Iraq to know what we have been through. How many of you have triggered anything other than the toilet flush to know what it’s like out there? You think it’s a joke to go war in 3 fronts with theses people? Yeah send in the plains “Precision, surgical strikes”. You people should uninstall the damn video games you’ve been playin’ or cut back from the damn grass you smoke!

Iran will not attack the US, but innumerable terrorist organizations will receive nuclear material from Iran. All major cities could be made uninhabitable by bringing suitcase bombs into the country. You then will not have to worry about the price of oil.

US, Israel and Europe (the westeners) are hated by Islamic countries.

Islamic countries are dictatorship, and to be hated by dictators is the indicator that we all oppose dictatorship. Thank you, now we KNOW we are doing it all right.

Israel: 7 million democratic people surrounded by 200 million stone-age people.

    Peace to all of you.
