US Crackdown on Iran Backed Terrorists Leaves 19 Dead

Iran has become proactive in the middle-east; it is providing more than just moral support to terror groups in Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq. This Iranian policy of cloak-and-dagger aggression led to a confrontation between militiamen backed by it and the U.S troops. The US troops cut short the lives of 19 militiamen backed by Iran. The armed confrontation took place in Baghdad, in a Shiite dominated area.
In the morning, U.S. troops surrounded the neighborhood, announcing with loudspeakers to residents that they were seeking militants and that they should stay inside, said an Iraqi police official who was at the scene. As the Americans withdrew around 11 am, they came under fire, prompting troops to move back into the district, assaulting several buildings, the official said.[source]
The US forces were also able to capture two deadly terrorists, who have a history of kidnapping and bombings.
Iran and the US might not go to war any soon, but they certainly are in a cold war that is heating-up slowly. If Iran continues to connive with belligerent terror groups in the region, then sadly enough, a full fledged war might become unavoidable.
