The Alarming Camaradrie Between Iran And Latin America

June 10, 2007 by pulkit

It was reported a few days back that Ahmadinejad was on the lookout for friends, but he can be rest assured of support from Latin America. President of Nicaragua is on a state visit to Iran. Nicaragua is a small country in Latin America that holds minimal geo-strategic importance, if at all. But it is part of the long list of subversive leftist countries in the region. Them being insensibly bellicose is alarming, and not their political disposition towards the left. Daniel Ortega, the Nicaraguan President is an ally of Hugo Chavez and other leftist. This makes him a natural ally of Iran. He was in the hot seat, as the leader of the ruling Sandinista Junta of Natural Reconstruction, even when the C.I.A backed Contra rebels envisaged the overthrow of the government. This subdued Marxist addressed a gathering in Tehran University. He quickly expressed solidarity with Iran by drawing ludicrous parallels between the two countries. Like the congruity between both countries that he attributed to there respective revolutions taking place in 1979. He used the word “combatant” to describe Hugo Chavez.

“With the passage of time, the world appears smaller and humans have come to believe that God created the earth for their wellbeing. It is not strange to see the combatants of Latin America like Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez come to a university and address the younger generation,“ [source]

Many countries have connived at the egregious humanitarian failure Iran’s regime has been all this while. The fact that these countries are the ones that have a one man show in the power corridors is all the more concerning. As these people have goals that are not potentially less destructive than Ahmadinejad’s.

Iran is doing what the Soviets did in the 1970s and 1980s…. supporting rogue regimes, funding terrorists and mess with America. We may need another president Reagan to deal with this tiny soviet like state
