Memo to Ahmadinejad: Don’t Repeat Nasser’s Mistake

Memo to Ahmadinejad: Don’t Repeat Nasser’s Mistake
Open Memo

To: The Iranian Mullahocracy
From: China Confidential

Study your history.

The late Egyptian president and Third World hero, Gamal Abdel Nasser, made the mistake of setting in motion a deadly dynamic that he could not control. The result was the Six-Day War, during which, Egypt’s air force was destroyed.

Israel will not ignore your repeated provocations and threats. Your formidable missile arsenal appears to be a deterrent to military action aimed at eliminating your nuclear arms program. But your missiles are vulnerable. And your nuclear weapons have yet to be developed.

The Jewish state, reborn in the aftermath of the Holocaust that you deny, will not cooperate in its own destruction. You are playing for time and playing with fire–nuclear fire.

Indeed… I don’t know how any sane western politician can remain patient with these criminals in Tehran. One day, these Mullahs will pay a very high price for their crimes

    Dearest Propaganda Machine,

Get your history straight. Egypt pulled its military together due to false intelligence of an Israeli offensive on Syria and Egypt. The Arabs and Egyptians never planned an attack, they sought to defend themselves from the Israelis.

As the Syrian and Egyptian military positioned its air and ground force, the Israelis sent an air-strike destroying most of the Syrian and Egyptian military arsenal, leaving them extremely vulnerable. You may be thinking this false intelligence is either Israeli bait or Arab lies. Whatever you choose to believe is your opinion, and really doesn’t matter. The truth is, the Egyptians and Syrians could have crushed Israel a long time ago but instead chose not to. Why not? Because they never wanted to destroy Israel.

Years have passed since that event, and the Arabs no longer trust Westerners or Israelis. This is why so much resentment and animosity exists towards Israel.

Also, an Israeli state was first introduced in the by Theodor Herzel, way before the Holocaust, as a form of Jewish Nationalism. Israel has little to do with the Holocaust, and was recommended many years before. Go look it up. The whole reason for Jewish nationalism came from European nationalism and general stupidity. And the holocaust merely propelled and solidified the creation of the Jewish state after WWII.

    Sincerely,
    The Truth

So “Mr. Truth” I suggest you read a book named “Six Days Of War” which is the most even handed and truthful account on the weeks leading up to the six day war from both the Arab and Israeli side. It includes recently declassified material including conversations and radio transmissions from both sides .

Your post is absolute garbage with not one bit of truth to it. The only part you have right is the pre-emptive strike by Israel’s air force on the Egyptian air force. This occurred after the whole world was informed by the big mouth Nasser himself that he was going to destroy the Jewish state. His greatest challenge was getting Jordan to sign off on the blood deal. So after his air force was destroyed and his armies destroyed on the ground, what did he do? He calls Jordainian president Hussein and tells him of the glorious victories the Egyptians are winning on the ground.

Jordan, joins the fight. Israel now free to move it’s forces to the North and East confronts Syria and Jordan. Many brave Israelis died that day, but in the end, it was their flexibility in battle that made them victorious.

For anyone to deny that the Arab Armies of Egypt, Syria and Jordan did not amass and plan to attack Israel that summer is just a fool, revising history. But that is the Arab way. Precisely why they lost the war, because the Arabs believe more in propaganda and conspiracy theories like your own than they do the actual facts on the ground.

Iran awaits the same fate. It threatens Israel with destruction on more than one occasion, flaunts it’s “military might” and continues on the path to developing Nuclear weapons. But guess what moron, Iran will face a fate far worse than those who threatened to destroy Israel in 1967.

I hope you have a front row seat at Nanantz when it gets blown to bits by nuclear tipped warheads launched from submarines. Tis action too will be pre emptive. Iran will never have a nuke. ever.

As for Zionism the realities of the two facets of social and religious zionism are far to complex to get into with a pea brain such as Mr. Truth.

One thing, 750,000 Jews were expelled from Arab countries after the formation of the Jewish state, hundreds of thousands of Iraqi, Syrian, Iranian Jews were absorbed by Israel after it’s formation by the UN.

There must be a demand for “right of return reparations” made to those Jews who were forced from Arab lands losing their homes and everything else they had.

Arabs have kept their refugees in abject poverty for decades while Israel has flourished to become one of the most successful economic countries in the world based on their intelligence. Israel is unmatched in computer technology, with Microsoft setting up a R and D center there. Next time you send a text, thank the Israeli designers who invented it. Also Israel has begun to provide California with energy harnessed from the Sun in the Negev Desert and stored in batteries.

The Jewish state is here to stay Mr. Truth. So go enjoy some blood libel TV and talk about the 9-11 troofer movement with some of your Arab buddies!

“For anyone to deny that the Arab Armies of Egypt, Syria and Jordan did not amass and plan to attack Israel that summer is just a fool, revising history. But that is the Arab way.”

Nothing more to add. Though Iranians are not Arabs, they seem to share the same distorted mentality.

Exactly. That menatality is called Islam.

    Dear Steveo

I recommend you read A History of Modern Middle East by William L Cleveland and a Modern Middle East: a History by James L Gelvin. They both provide a better and more academic history of the Middle East than that popularly read, popularly misunderstood account known as the “Six Day War”.

Michael Oren’s book is farce compared to the academic publications I proposed above. His book starts off in a pity for Israel–a new born child in a world of Arab war mongering–an old story gone trite. It is the common impression made with the great amount of history lost before the six day war.

As an Israeli-American Scholar at the Shalam Center in Jerusalem, it is his duty to do this type of isolated investigation. Precisely for this reason, his book should not be read without a thorough understanding of the Middle East. It is like understanding the Iraqi War from data in 2003. To do so leads to misunderstanding, and this is precisely his intention.

And like i said before, Nasser could’ve destroyed Israel a long time ago. He never wanted to. The point was political. Defending and uniting Arabs Against various aggressions was what Nasser sought to do. Of course, Israel took advatage of this just as the British took advantage of Arab nationalism.

Perhaps Nasser made bad choices in general, but it’s absurd to think Nasser truly wanted war. Just look at how easily the Israeli’s defeated Nasser and the Arabs. Do you honestly think this was possible if they were really prepared and had true war intentions?

    I don’t think so.

please don’t bore me in your next reply and merely say my information is wrong. This just makes you look dogmatic, tyrannical, and prepubescent.

    Love,
    the truth.

If we go back to history indeed Iranians are not Arabs but Aryans like some Europian and Indian accents. Then Jews are Semetic races like some Arabs too. Then if you know your history then why is there fighting among your own brother? I could not understand? it’s ridiculous to think of it please you could tell me Mecedonian great.

    Mijar,

Simple. The hate exists because of Islam. Just read the Koran. Do you rememebr Iran/Persia when it was mainly Zoroastrian?

    cheers,

    Truth and Fred,

Fred your ignorance barely warrants a reply as your opening sentence doesn’t even deserve a response.

Neither of you have answered this

“One thing, 750,000 Jews were expelled from Arab countries after the formation of the Jewish state, hundreds of thousands of Iraqi, Syrian, Iranian Jews were absorbed by Israel after it’s formation by the UN.
There must be a demand for “right of return reparations” made to those Jews who were forced from Arab lands losing their homes and everything else they had.Arabs have kept their refugees in abject poverty for decades while Israel has flourished to become one of the most successful economic countries in the world based on their intelligence.”

As for your reading suggestions Mr. Truth, I’m pretty certain Cleveland’s book was on my reading list at Oxford University where I read Middle East Studies with Professor Fawaz Gerges. Needless to say we didn’t see eye to eye as he to tried in vain to revise history. As a 21 year old student I have to say I ate him alive, for the truth you see is free for all to see who open their eyes to the hatred and barbaric regimes that rule the Muslim world. I have heard and read many revisionist views of what happened that summer, but were you there? My father in law was in a Kibbutz that summer, the news reports over the radio and TV were realities on the ground. The Arab armies had indeed massed for war. You are indeed not uninformed, just misinformed. Most likely your view of Israel is rooted in an underlying jew hatred or mistrust of Jews. I find that Islamic anti Semitism is so rampant that it is impossible to waste time debating the legitimacy of Israel and her right to exist. She is indeed a reality. But you fail to address the most important point. The Jewish refugee issue, and of course the Muslim worlds obsession with killing and annihilating the evil Jew. And their failure to take care of there own human rights and refugee issues. For heavan’s sake, turn your attention to places like Iran, Syria, Egypt, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon, where the some sane voices are smothered by an oppressive ruling party, or group of murderous thugs.

With a million Muslims and only 17 million Jews in the world, it’s time you turned your attention elsewhere. Start perhaps by looking in the mirror.

You are not an unintelligent person, just one driven by a simple “thousands of year old disease”. Jew Hatred.

Are you kidding Fred? Chomsky and Finkelstein. I have read both, extensively. They are Anti-Israel, Anti-capitalism Ant- Americanand both share the views of Chavez in Venezuela and Ahmadinejad in Iran. Both are in all terms as described by Jean Paul Sartre “self hating jews”. Furtehermore you have offered up examples of extreme leftist ideologues. I work in the world of reason and rationality.

It is completely irrational that so much of the world still believes in the Anti-Semitic blood libels.

What is the number one best seller in the Muslim World? Protocals of the Elders of Zion, followed closely by Mein Kampf.

What is it with the worlds infatuation with Israel when hundreds of thousands are murdered in Sudan? When Islamist beheadings in the south of Thailand are weekly events. When Iran stones woman to death and commits public hangings?

You acknowledge the Muslim world has H
human rights problems. This is a huge understatement. Those who are obsessed with Israel and it’s political and human rights record usually carry a deep rooted anti semitic leanings.

There is no rational reason for anyone to focus so intensely on Israel. No rational reason for the biased media to shine such a spotlight on a nation of 6 million while human rights around the world are ignored.

It’s a good story because the oldest and deepest hate is jew hatred. Making Jews, now, vis a vis Israel as savages is something that the world has done for thousands of years!

    Dear Steveoh,

Let me get this straight. I disagree with the literature you use for the Six Day War and automatically I am Anti-Jewish?–As though disagreement on historical analysis causally leads to some type of xenophobia and religious intolerance? I wonder which logical fallacy(ies)you have committed. i take it there to be too many to count.

Now, I am not Anti-Jewish and i do not think it is smart to accuse people of this stupidity. If you wish to know, I don’t think Israel should exist, but neither do i think any religious state should exist. Those religious states currently existing have been around for centuries, lost their religious fervor at some point, but were later reawakened with the birth of Israel. Don’t you believe a religious state in the 1940’s was really bad idea? I do.

Jewish Nationalism is not the fault of the Jews, it is the fault of European nationalism and deaf, dumb, blind religious and political elites. It was an ill-thought cause and a disgrace to Jews everywhere. What Jews needed at the time was to be accepted by getting rid of the superstition surrounding them. Not thrown in the Middle of a financially torn, angry, and vindictive region; this is abandonment and isolation at the very least.

Do not equate Anti-Israel with Anti-Jewish, that’s just wrong.

    Sincerely,
    The Truth
