Ahmadinejad is Very Quiet

January 9, 2009 by Alexander

For someone like Ahmadinejad who sounds off on almost everything, especially if it has to do with Israel, is very quiet these days.

Are the mullahs cowards? Are they worried the same will happen to them as with Hamas? Or is their reluctance to escalate matters related to Mr. Obama?

The geopolitical intelligence site, Stratfor has pointed out that,

Iran is working on consolidating its gains in Iraq, and the leadership in Tehran appears to be under the impression that the incoming U.S. administration will be more open to negotiations on key issues such as the future status of U.S. forces in Iraq, the makeup of the Iraqi security and intelligence establishment, recognition of Iran’s sphere of influence in the region, Iran’s nuclear program and prospects for foreign investment in its depressed economy.

Stratfor also points out that Hamas is pretty much a wholly owned subsidiary of Iran at this point. Most of the weapons of Hamas are Iranian supplied and Hizbolah has some hundreds of military ‘advisors’ on the ground in Gaza at the moment or they did at the start of operation cast lead. Also, various Hamas leaders are making noise about a special ‘gift’ for Israel on election day. (see MEMRI web site) I would hazard a guess that this present would be Iranian supplied. Obama has been clear that there is no change in terms of the US position on Iran. The only difference is he is willing to conduct overt talks to achieve the Bush objectives as opposed to the covert talks they have had for years. Iran is quiet perhaps because they are actually doing things. Even so, I wouldn’t call the attempt to raise thousands of mujahadeen to fight in Gaza quiet even though i doubt they would actually let these recruits leave Iran.

You guys impress me a great deal.
There is so much confusion in the world, and I have no wish to see the Iranian people suffer any more than they have already, because of Ahmedinijad and those glowering Mullahs behind all this chaos.
Recently I had the opportunity to watch a documentary about a family in northern Iran, and although they had a totally different social system, I was impressed by their sense of humour, which reminded me of my British way of looking at life. In fact I recognised them as being related to us. As a result of this I have had a look at other good people throughout the world and at the wisdom they hold. I an not a scholar and I am only speaking for myself, but I have come to understand that those who are becoming extremely arrogant in the belief that they will dominate the world and enslave us all, will fail miserably and become answerable to a Higher Authority!
You have my whole hearted support, and I have seen that many people would agree with me.
Good far outweighs Evil on our planet despite the media’s manipulation and all others with deranged motives!

I agree they will ultimately fail as bad ideas of hostility and rough competition always fail to good ideas and non forced cooperation. The question that needs to be asked is:
“How much damage are you willing to take until then?”
The fact is they can succeed for generations and perhaps centuries. It has worked in the Arabian peninsula since the time of Mohamed. Remember, NO nation simply converted to Islam, all have been taken by the same kind of conquest we see here and now. Terrorism, blackmail and so on. One of the best historical references to this was actually by a Persian leader who the pope recently quoted on this matter and for which the pope came under much fire. Loosely quoting, “What new thing does Islam bring to the table? Islam does not use persuasion but brings its gods with the sword” or words to that effect. The Persian leader was correct in his question and the pope was correct to quote him. Persia at that time was a place of great scholarship and in fact remains the ONLY Islamic nation with any respect for its pre Islamic past but that is fading.
Recently I had the pleasure of meeting an ex patriot Iranian documentary film maker. It is very sad to see in her films how Islam had used it’s naive well intentioned leftist students who thought they where going to have an even more liberal Persia by getting rid of the Shaw and instead found themselves in a place where right after the revolution over one hundred thousand artists and scholars where murdered by the new Islamic regime. I will stop now before I turn this comment into an essay. But I hope I get the point across. It isn’t about if good will triumph over evil. It is about how much damage we are prepared to take before you and I make sure that it does.

You make some excellent points there vlad, but I must make this a quick response for now. I think a stand should be made against them now before any more damage is done. Personally, I think we should strike at the heart of the memeplex itself. Looking back at your post, I am in full agreement with all that you say and will certainly return as soon as I can, but I have been advised by my friends to take a rest for the sake of my health as I am feeling traumatised by all that I have learned in a short space of time and need to bring myself down from the realms of metaphysic’s which was sparked off by many things.

U said they’re worried about being treated as Hamas!!! Do u really think that Hamas was defeated over the 33-day war??? Do u believe Zionist Regime was the winner of that war??? Well, I don’t think so. With all the power that Israel is proud of, they couldn’t keep fighting for more than 33 days while they were thinking of eradicating Hamas in less than a week. It was just an unbearable shame I believe…
