Ahmadinejad Aggresively Promoting Own Blog By Destroying All Others
June 8, 2007 by pulkit

Our man Ahmadinejad has a blog of his own. This is an indication that his mullah regime is fast adapting to the technological changes. It also is apparent that Ahmadinejad wants to bolster his blogs page rank, popularity, and subsequently reap the rewards of the increased advertising revenue. He seems to have found an ingenious way of doing it- by literally blocking most other popular blogs. What a wily fox!
Time to bid adieu to our friends Pun and Banter. It is time to get serious, for our blogger friends in Iran have nothing much to joke about. This is thanks mainly to the Iranian governments drive to identify bloggers to put a leash on them. It has been made mandatory for bloggers to register there personal details online with the authorities. All those who fail to comply will have there blogs blocked. So, freedom of expression, a fundamental perquisite in most free countries, is being recklessly sequestered away from the Iranian bloggers.
“You might think that’s only going to inconvenience a few people - but you’d be wrong: Iran has nearly a million bloggers, around 10% of whom are active, according to Mehdi Boutorabi, manager of the Persianblog free blog hosting service.” [source]
“Want to start a blog in Iran? Then you’ll have to register it with the government - which has recently begun to require that all bloggers register at samandehi.ir, a site established by the ministry of culture of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s government.” [source]
Many of them are not forbearing a confrontation with Ahmadinejad’s regime by not complying. Let’s hope that most of them remain brazenly non compliant, freedom forsaken, to conjure up an online coup d’etat.
