The Terrorist Holocaust-denier wishes you a Merry Christmas. I find it entertaining that the leader of a country that condones stoning of women speaks as if he knows about Jesus. Wasn’t it Jesus that stopped a woman from being stoned to death? I can’t believe UK’s Channel 4 gave this dangerous fanatic who denies the Holocaust while preparing for another an unchallenged platform to send out his message.
Channel 4’s decision to invite Ahmadinejad to present the alternative message also, I think, demonstrates how few people have grasped who he really is. The people at Channel 4 must still see him as a bit of a laugh, someone who succeeds in annoying the Bush administration and the Israelis, rather than as who he really is: a man who has ordered the death of British troops, is keen to wipe Israel off the map and who supports the hanging of homosexuals and the oppression of women. Let us hope that in we wake up to who he and the Iranian regime really are in time to rally the political and diplomatic will necessary to stop Iran from going nuclear.
These extremists aren’t often invited to CNN headquarters. But when it comes to Holocaust denier and anti-Semite Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who appeared Sept. 23 on Larry King Live, we do know the answer. The handshake he received after the interview was quite warm, conveying to millions of viewers a subtle but powerful message about the acceptability of his extreme opinions. The platform offered was hospitable and virtually unhindered, in line with Larry King’s typical style.
Amil Imani brings up questions Larry King did not ask.
When Mr. King asked him about his statement last year that there are no homosexuals in Iran, Ahmadinejad replied, that it is not the way it is here. It’s disliked in Iran. Then he asked Mr. King if he were concerned for 70 million Iranian people or a few homosexuals.
Mr. King should have asked how many homosexuals he has hanged this year and instead of asking him how many children he has, he should have asked him how many children he has hanged in the four years he’s been in office.
Mr. King missed an opportunity to ask him why he is so interested in securing Palestinian rights, while he is denying such rights to the Iranians. Why does he want a referendum for the Palestinian people to decide their own destiny, while he refuses the same to 7o million desperate and unhappy Iranians.
* Mr. King never asked why the Islamic Republic has been denying and violating a long-suffering people of all its human rights. They are guilty of beating, imprisoning and torturing hundreds of women who braved participating in a peaceful demonstration pleading for equal family rights, on the recent International Day of Women. This regime has systematically beaten, imprisoned, and tortured all manner of citizens, from school teachers to students to union workers, for daring to raise their voices against the plight to which they have subjected them.
* Mr. King never asked about an Islamic regime that has savagely beaten and hauled to its dungeons of torture and death over a thousand of the tens of thousands of teachers who last year gathered in front of the parliament requesting nothing more than their back pay and living wages.
* He never asked why they have directed systematic genocidal measures against all non-Shi’a religious minorities, with Baha’is as their prime target. They arrest some Christians — whom even their Quran calls “People of the Book” — for observing Christmas.
* He never asked why they have implemented barbaric practices of stoning, hanging and amputations for those who are convicted of crimes in their kangaroo courts without any due process. They even imprison those few lawyers who rise in the defense of the innocent.
* He never asked why they have plundered, mismanaged and doled out Iran’s national wealth with the result that the great majority of the people are living in poverty. They have forced the Iranian women into prostitution to survive or simply are sold as sex slaves in Persian Gulf states.
* He never asked why they spend a fortune on the nuclear program that they claim is only aimed for peaceful purposes, while turning Iran into little more than a gas station nation, with its precious oil wealth squandered and its facilities on the verge of collapse through neglect. They have created a suffocating social atmosphere that has driven masses of the people to the use of hard drugs as a way of numbing their pain.
* He never asked why they look far and wide to support any and all terrorists. The Islamic Republic’s delusional theology mandates the creation of horrific conditions in the world so that the Hidden Imam is compelled to appear and establish his rule.
* He never asked why they spared no efforts at sabotaging any settlement between the Palestinians and Israelis. They arm and train all Palestinian factions such as Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and any and all that come.
* He never asked why they direct similar criminal schemes on their eastern flank, in Afghanistan. They consider any democratic system as the enemy of Islamofascism, and rightfully so. They have worked ceaselessly to expand Iran’s stolen funds, and do all they can in support of Shi’a co-fascists Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Larry King has assured himself a steady supply of celebrity interviewees with his non-confrontational format, but applying this approach to Ahmadinejad reflects a lack of news judgement by CNN. It will now be more difficult to oust this regime
Where is the UN on this? I find it ridiculous that the so called Human rights commission of the UN spends the vast majority of it’s time condemning Israel on it supposed human rights violations.
The commission, redesigned in 2006 to combat it’s blatantly anti-Israel platform has only continued it’s pattern of routine attacks on the Israel, while ignoring the heinous and barbaric crimes committed under Sharia law in many Muslim nations, most notably Iran.
In 2006 and 2007 this biased commission has passed 19 resolutions against Israel. Many without even voting. Any discussion or attempt by parties to bring Arab or Iranian abuses to the discussion are usually forbidden under a ruling which forbids the introduction of religion into the debate. As reported by the BBC on July 20th eight women and one man have been sentenced to death by stoning in Iran. This horrific practice of stoning to death has been reported on before here and if anyone has any doubts of the barbaric nature of this punishment they need only to go to the archive here at this website to see for themselves. How can the world stand by as the Mullah’s continue this awful inhuman punishment.
And once again it is the women of Iran, especially the poor and uneducated who are “sacrificed” to fulfill the blood lust of the Iranian extremists. Eight of the nine are women, I’m not one bit surprised.
Shadi Sadr from the Volunteer Lawyers’ Network, which is representing the women, said: “We are very worried as there are at least eight women and one man with a definitive verdict which can be carried out any moment.
Please help stop this horrific facet of Iranian Sharia Law!
“There are no guarantees that the punishments will be halted or commuted.”
She called on the international community to back their efforts, adding: “We are in close touch with human rights organisations and many of them have supported our campaign.”
Fellow defence lawyer Mariam Kian-Arsi said: “Our specific and clear demand is to have the stoning sentence stopped by Ayatollah Shahroudi since the defendants are liable to be stoned at any moment.”
Women ‘poorly represented’
In theory the penalty of stoning to death applies to both men and women.
But the lawyers say that in practice, many more women than men receive the sentence because they are less well educated and often poorly represented in court.
Human rights group Amnesty International earlier this year called on Iran to abolish “this grotesque punishment” and said many facing execution by stoning were sentenced after unfair trials.
Under Iran’s strict penal code, men convicted of adultery should be buried up to their waists and women up to their chests for stoning. The stones used should not be large enough to kill the person immediately.
In regards to my earlier post here on the 19th of June, I was informed that Mr Kiani was stoned to death on the 5th July at 11 am local time. The press release below was published over the weekend but it has now been confirmed that Mr Kiani was stoned to death by the Iranian Moral Police and the locals refused to participate in such a barbaric act. I just wish I could express my sadness here.
Jafar Kiani Stoned on July 5, Mokarrameh Ebrahimi in Eminent Danger
Jafar Kiani was stoned in Aghche-kand, a small village near Takistan, Ghazvin, on Thursday July 5th. His partner, Mokarrameh Ebrahimi, could have a similar fate if we do not act now!
Jafar Kiani and his partner, Mokarrameh Ebrahimi, have been in prison for more than 11 years for an adulterous relationship and having two children. The couple’s children live in prison with their mother. The Stop Stoning Forever Campaign broke the news of their case on June 19 as they were scheduled to be stoned together on Thursday, June 21, 2007. After the news spread, the Iranian judiciary officials were faced with a strong wave of national and international opposition and announced that the order of stoning would be stayed.
The people of Takistan and their parliamentary representative, Rajab Rahmani, were opposed to the execution of the sentence in Takistan which led to its carrying out in Aghche-kand.
The judge who issued the stoning sentence, Mr. Eslahi, believed that the couple’s marriage had not been legitimate based on his own “knowledge” of the case. The stoning sentences were similarly issued.
According to the Iranian law, the judge who has issued the sentence would have to be present in person to throw the first stone. Some unofficial sources have reported that only a few of the villagers participated in the stoning and the sentence was mostly carried out by the officials and the related service men.
The judiciary officials have so far neither confirmed nor denied the stoning of Jafar Kiani. Silence seems to be the current policy of some judiciary officials, including Hassan Ghasemi, the Head of Judiciary Office in Ghazvin, who has told the Stop Stoning Forever Campaign activists to contact Alireza Jamshidi, the official Iranian judiciary spokesman, for answers to their questions.
The Stop Stoning Forever Campaign is asking all citizens of the world to raise their opposition to stoning and try to save the life of Mokarrameh Ebrahimi from stoning. Please contact the Iranian officials in Tehran and Takistan, Gahzvin and/or Iranian embassy in other countries (please see the contact information below). [source]
What is a stoning like you ask? Below you will see a video of a young woman being attacked and stoned by bloodthirsty elements of the Islamic regime in the town of Khatoon-Abad, Iran.
The news about the scheduled stoning of a man and a woman in Takistan, Ghazvin, was spread through mobile phone messages and the Internet. The office of Showraye Tameen of Ghazvin province has issued the order to stone and man and a woman in public.
The judge of Branch 1 of the Criminal Court of Takistan will be present in person to throw the first stone. This was scheduled to be done on Sunday, June 17, but the Office of Showraye Tameen of Ghazvin province postponed it to Thursday, June 21.
Mokarrameh Ebrahimi is a 43 year old woman and mother of an 11 year old who has spent the past 11 years in Choubin prison in Ghazvin after being sentenced to stoning. The father of the child has also been in prison for 11 years and is scheduled to be stoned with her.
